Welcome to the website for Southern Indiana 's Babe Ruth Leagues. We hope to use this site to provide information to the various Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken divisions. We will be adding to the site as we grow and find it necessary. If you have any suggestions or ideas as to what you would like to see and what would help your league, please contact us using the link to the left. Congratulations to the SIBRL All-stars! We have all of ours posted now) Dear Players, Families and visitors, With the official ending of the Southern Indiana Babe Ruth Leagues season, I have received the names of the players who were chosen at the Southeast (SE) and Southwest (SW) state games. These players were chosen based on different abilities as in defense, offence, at bat, attitude on the field, sportsmanship, teams players, and representation of his team. The winning coach from each state site will be the guest coach for the SE or SW team October 4th. The tournament directors and their assistants made the selection of these young players. These players are invited to a weekend of fun and to be recognized by the official of Southern Indiana Babe Ruth Leagues. On October 4th the games SE vs.SW will be at Winslow Park, Bloomington, IN (8 games total). October 5th a banquet honoring the players with awards. This is and exciting time to be able to talk to the players who demonstrated their abilities and their love for baseball. ATTENTION: Please pass on the news that the Cal Ripken coaching certification is now good until the coach no longer coaches instead of just 3 years. So, if a coach passes his test this year (2008) and decides to coach for the next 10 years his certification will be good without having to renew it during that time. Also, if a coach has passed any other coaching certification, then that is a valid substitute for the Cal Ripken course (Contact your District Commissioner with any questions about this). An example of this is the certification test that Bloomington requires for their coaches. Site last revised 10/15/2008 @9:30pm
